Ramadan For Me

A Festival of Youth, Faith, and Community

On Sunday, April 6, BayCC held its annual Ramadan For Me festival—a celebration where kids led the way in expressing what Ramadan means to them.

The event kicked off inside the center with student-led theatrical performances, earning big rounds of applause from a diverse audience of families, mentors, and elders. After the performances, everyone moved outdoors to explore a series of creative project stands set up by the kids themselves. From heartfelt stories to colorful displays, each project reflected the students’ personal connection to the values and spirit of Ramadan.

To wrap up the day, Emine Eroğlu handed out prizes to all participating students—recognizing not just the projects, but the effort and sincerity behind them.

Although we had to shift the event time due to a morning lecture, the change worked in our favor. Many who came for the talk stayed for the festival, creating an even more vibrant and connected gathering.

This event reminded us of the power of youth expression and how important it is to create spaces where children can reflect on their faith and share it with others. We’re proud to keep this tradition alive every year.
