Spiritual Workshop: Exploring the First Eight Words

A Creative and Spiritual Journey for Women and Children

We were delighted to host a vibrant and creative workshop dedicated to exploring the first eight Words of the Risale-i Nur. Presented in Turkish, the program reintroduced these profound teachings through modern, imaginative, and interactive methods.

Our main aim was to present the first eight Words of the Risale-i Nur in a way that speaks to the language, challenges, and understanding of modern life — making these teachings accessible and meaningful for today’s mind.

To achieve this, each Word was explored through a different artistic or technical format, including theater, poetry, talk-show style dialogue, AI-generated video, storybook narration, illustration, and more. This variety allowed participants to connect with the material from new perspectives and rediscover familiar concepts in fresh ways.

The workshop unfolded in two parts, covering Words 1–4 and then Words 5–8. Volunteers prepared the space early in the morning, setting up seating, displays, and event materials. After the main sessions, we continued with a community raffle, followed by food and warm conversation.

We concluded the event with a small exhibition of posters designed for each Word, offering attendees a chance to reflect visually on the themes discussed.

One of the highlights of the day was the enthusiasm felt across all age groups. Participants were attentive, curious, and fully engaged — and even the children followed along with excitement until the very end. Their interest brought a special sense of joy and liveliness to the gathering.

In our upcoming programs, we plan to present the content in both Turkish and English, with different themes and formats. We will rediscover the various stories in the Risale-i Nur together through new and interactive techniques.
