Movie Night
Exploring Faith Through Film and Conversation
On May 10th, 2025, young women from the Youth Collective gathered in Menlo Park for a reflective and engaging Movie Night. The primary purpose of the Movie Night was to create a relaxed and engaging space for group bonding through shared experience. By watching What Dreams May Come, we opened the door to meaningful conversations about life, death, love, and spirituality.
The event also sparked a thoughtful discussion on how heaven is portrayed in Islam compared to its depiction in media, encouraging deeper reflection and interfaith understanding. The event helped strengthen group cohesion and created a safe space for spiritual and emotional exploration. It aligned with BAYCC’s goals of fostering connection, reflection, and meaningful dialogue within the community.
