Interfaith Gathering on Seeking God Together

Reflecting on God's Creation

On May 16, 2025, Pacifica Institute and the Maryknoll Society co-hosted an interfaith gathering titled “Seeking God Together: Reflecting on God’s Creation.” Held in the tranquil setting of Huddart Park’s Redwood Shelter, the event brought together participants from diverse faith backgrounds to explore the spiritual significance of creation through nature, dialogue, and shared experiences.

The program featured two main sessions of presentations, each including three speakers who addressed the theme from diverse spiritual and religious perspectives. These sessions provided a platform for reflection on the sacredness of nature and the unity of humanity in their pursuit of the Divine.

Participants took part in group discussions to reflect on the ideas presented. A BBQ lunch offered time for fellowship and community building, accompanied by a prayer for peace and a blessing for the meal.

After lunch, attendees were briefed on connecting with God’s creation during hiking, just at the start of the guided nature walk through the scenic trails of the park. The event concluded with a peaceful end to the hike and informal social time among attendees.

The gathering offered a meaningful space for interfaith connection, spiritual contemplation, and appreciation of the natural world as a reflection of the Divine.
