Eid of Giving – Thriving by Serving

Eid al-Adha is one of the most meaningful celebrations in the Islamic tradition. Known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” it commemorates the values of faith, generosity, and compassion. At its heart, Eid al-Adha is about helping one another—especially those in need—through acts of charity, sharing meals, and building stronger communities.
In this spirit, Pacifica Institute and BAYCC are hosting their first Eid Celebration & Service Fest, an event that combines the joy of Eid with the power of community service.

We warmly invite our broader community, friends from all faiths and traditions, to join us in a welcoming and warm atmosphere as we honor the values of Eid—gratitude, compassion, and solidarity—through shared celebration and volunteering in meaningful community service projects. Participants will contribute by preparing care kits, assembling food relief packs, collecting clothing, and supporting kindness-centered activities for children, all while enjoying social connection and a sense of shared purpose.
