Second “Seeking God Together” Gathering Explores Divine Attributes Across Faith Traditions
Pacifica Institute, Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, and the Peninsula Multifaith Coalition co-hosted the second Seeking God Together Interfaith Gathering, bringing together people of many faiths for a day of dialogue, reflection, and fellowship at the Miwok Picnic Shelter in Huddart Park, Woodside, California. Held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, the event focused on the theme “Exploring God’s Beautiful Attributes Across Faith Traditions.”
The day began with an on-site charcoal-prepared BBQ lunch, enriched by food contributions from participants. This shared meal created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, setting the tone for meaningful conversations and new friendships.
Following lunch, six distinguished faith and community leaders delivered insightful presentations on the divine attributes as understood within their respective traditions. Their reflections emphasized shared values such as compassion, mercy, love, and justice—universal principles that unite people of all faiths.
After the speeches, participants joined group discussions and reflection circles to engage in thoughtful dialogue about how these divine qualities can inspire personal growth and community harmony. The gathering concluded with an optional nature hike, offering a serene opportunity for quiet reflection amidst the beauty of Huddart Park.
As the second in the Seeking God Together series, the event reaffirmed the value of interfaith dialogue in building understanding and peace. Inspired by its success, the organizers plan to continue this series of gatherings, creating more opportunities for people of diverse backgrounds to connect through shared spiritual values and mutual respect.
