Abrahamic Alliance International invited three faith houses—Congregation Shir Hadash, The River Church Community, and Pacifica Institute—to prepare and serve Thanksgiving dinner to the residents of the encampments at Roosevelt and Columbus Parks on November 24th. Sixty volunteers from the three faith houses came together to serve over 150 unhoused neighbors. Volunteers prayed for world peace, the upliftment of the community, and well-being in society. It was a memorable and enriching day for all, as the volunteers got to know each other through buddy group discussions and shared dinner with the residents of the encampments.
