On the morning of Saturday, October 26, 2024, BAYCC volunteers hosted a Halloween-themed event at Family Supportive Housing, welcoming over 50 attendees. The volunteers worked tirelessly the night before, transforming the venue with festive decorations, and returned early in the morning to prepare a warm breakfast for the guests. Families and children of all ages, many dressed in creative Halloween costumes, arrived eager to enjoy the celebration.

The event, themed “Bingo, Boba, and Boooooo!” featured various engaging activities. Volunteers led spirited bingo games, served refreshing boba drinks, and organized Halloween-themed fun that delighted participants of all ages. Guests were encouraged to wear costumes, adding to the vibrant, festive atmosphere. The event flyer, adorned with iconic Halloween symbols such as pumpkins, black cats, ghosts, and candy, invited community members to join this joyful gathering designed to foster connections and celebrate the season.

Throughout the two-hour celebration, volunteers shared lighthearted stories, facilitated games, and built meaningful connections with children and their families. The event offered a unique opportunity for volunteers to express compassion and create a sense of belonging among attendees. As the celebration came to a close, many participants expressed heartfelt gratitude, sharing their hopes for more events like this in the future.
