In partnership with Compassion Week, YouthLink organized a heartwarming event focused on preparing school supply kits for foster care children from Rebekah Children’s Services. Leveraging generous past donations, YouthLink procured and gathered essential items such as backpacks, folders, pens, pencils, notebooks, and other school supplies. Volunteers of all ages and from diverse backgrounds—including YouthLink members, the BAYCC community, and interfaith partners—came together to assemble the kits in a spirit of unity and compassion. By the end of the day, 55 backpacks brimming with supplies were carefully packed, ready to support the academic journeys of these children. The completed backpack kits will be delivered to Rebekah Children’s Services in the near future, marking a meaningful contribution to the future of foster youth.
